At the young age of 15 Gail Joelene Engelstad's was serving dinner at her church when she could not take her eyes off the young speaker for the evening. Gail turned to her friend Mable and said, "that's my man and I am going to get him."
A year later Gail was selling sodas at the fair when the young man Leonard McGill keep coming to her booth for sodas finally getting enough nerve to ask her out.
Gail's parents were not going to allow this after all they did not know his family.
