Carlin and Margene Ashby were married Sept. 15, 1948 in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake Utah.
A celebration held at the LC Ranch Lodge honoring the Ashby's 60th anniversary was hosted by their five children. Friends and family were invited; twenty-eight grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren were also in attendance.
Friends and family were invited to the Ashby's home for an open house on Sept. 16. The Guest were requested to bring any photos or mementos, which included the Ashby family over the past sixty years.
The Ashby's have lived in Uintah Basin for most of their married lives.
Carlin was the publisher as well as the owner of the Uintah Basin News.
Margene is a housewife and was a stay at home mom raising their five children.
