Reverend Charlie Lamb of the First Methodist Church of Nacogdoches, Texas married Dr. Robert Baker and Mary Ann Brooks on a beautiful late summers day September 6, 1958.
The couple met at the New York State College of Forestry in Syracuse where Robert had just finished his PHD and Mary was a secretary in the department.
Robert taught at SFA until 1975 and then worked at the Forest Science Department at Texas A&M until retirement as professor emeritus in 2000.
The Baker's have one daughter and two grandchildren that live in Tulsa Oklahoma.
Robert and May Ann enjoy traveling to visit their daughter and grandchildren, they also stay active in their community.
