July 17, 2008 marks the 60th anniversary of Robert and Joanne Peterson, their four children and grandchildren join them for a quite family celebration. Robert and Joanne met and fell in love in 1943 they were married five years later.
The couple raised their four children in a home they built themselves in Palos Heights, Illinois, they lived in the home until 1979.
To escape the cold winters of Illinois they moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
After years of being a carpenter Robert retired. Joanne stayed home to raise their four children.
In spite of the distance separating the Peterson's from their children, they all managed to travel to Phoenix for Christmas with their parents.
