August 17, 1958, in the Assembly of God Church in Terre Haute, Rev. William Saunders pronounced Robert and Gayla husband and wife.
Robert owned and operated Crum's Shell Station until his retirement after thirty-eight years.
Gayla worked part time in the office of their business while raising their two children.
The couple has one son Robert Jeffery and a daughter Charlene; they also have 5 grand children.
Robert and Gayla are active in community events.
Family functions and grand children s sporting events are their favorite past time.
