Fall was in the air with leaves of golden orange cascading to the ground on September 26, 1953 when Michael Bolko and Mary Lou McNairn were united in marriage.
A family dinner to celebrate the Bolko's 55th wedding anniversary was hosted by their children.
Michael and Mary Lou have five children and are the proud grand parents of 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Bolko's retired from the New England Telephone Company. Mary Lou retired from the Holyoke Public School system.
