Jim Jones and Joyce Thomas were married September 7,1958 at the Owensburg Church of Christ in a beautiful fall ceremony.
The Jones children hosted a celebration honoring their parent's 50th anniversary at the Terre Haute Holiday Inn. Friends and family and former students of the couple were invited. The guest's were ask to bring memorabilia from the past that included the couple.
Joyce was a first grade teacher at the Lost Creek Elementary until her retirement in 2001, she also taught in French Lick and Princeton earlier in her career.
Jim was a guidance counselor and varsity basketball coach at the Terre Haute Vigo High School until 2008. He also coached in French Lick and Princeton early in his career.
The Jones were blessed with two children Tom And Jill as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The couple enjoy being involved in sporting and community actives.
