Around The World

A dinner honoring of Jack and Melba Lybrand's 60th anniversary was given by their son, at the Hennessy Restaurant Nov.6th. Friends and family were in attendance.

The Lybrand's meet and dated for a year in 1947 while Jack was in the U.S. Air Force they were married Nov.6th 1948 in Aiken.

The couple lived across the U.S. and overseas while Jack was in the service for 20 years. Jack retired as a Master Sergeant in 1966.

Melba is a homemaker and was a stay at home mom raising their son Douglas.

After retiring from the service the couple opened an ice cream shop and Jack taught vocational subjects in area schools until 1988.

Jack and Melba settled in Columbia were they still reside.
