North Carolina is one of the most beautiful states in the U.S. in October with the trees exhibiting a multitude of colors.
Jim McCurry and Rita Robbins were married October 24, 1958 in Granite Falls, North Carolina.
A surprise dinner was given by their sons in honor of the McCurry's 50th wedding anniversary on October 25, 2008 at the Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Gastonia.
The McCurry's have three sons, Terry, Tim and Todd they are also the loving grandparents of four grandchildren.
After thirty years of service Jim retired from the trucking industry. He is a lifetime member of the Oasis Temple, and is a Master Mason.
Rita is a housewife and was a stay-at-home mother. She is also a active member in their church.
The couple enjoy family functions and staying active in their community and church.
