Blind Date 65 years Later

Martinsville, was the site of the 65th anniversary celebration of Charles, and Ruth Richeson. Celebrating with the Richeson were family, and friends at the Zion's Hill Baptist Church. The family also enjoyed a dinner at Gray's Cafeteria in Martinsville.

Charles Richeson, and Ruth Maxine Dorsett were married Oct. 10, 1942, in Norman, Okla.

Charles, from Franklin, and Ruth Maxine, from Hazelwood, met on a blind date and have loved each other for over 65 years.

Charles, is retired from Hostess Cake Company of Bloomington.

Ruth Has enjoyed being a housewife, and mother raising their two daughters, Ruth Ann Brown of Boynton Beach, Fla. and Linda Buchberger of Salt Lake City, Utah.

They have four granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.
