John A. Koetteritz and Antoinette H. (Polk) Koetteritz, were married on a lovely spring day in April,1948 in Liverpool, New York.
John graduated from Saranac Lake High School with the class of 1935 and attended Syracuse University. He is the grandson of the late John B. vonKoetteritz, of Dolgeville; New York, his grandfather compiled the original survey map of the Adirondack State Forest in 1892.
John has retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Antoinette works at The Loft in Camelback Ski Area in Tannersville, Pennsylvania.
A celebration was given by friends, and family for John, and Antoinette's 60 wedding anniversary at The Village at Camelback in Tannersville, Pennsylvania.
Afterwards the couple traveled back to Saranac Lake, New York, where they had spent their honeymoon 60 years ago. Their family has many happy memories of vacations spent at Saranac Lake since.
They have five children: Antoinette (Ted) Phillips of New Knoxville, OH; John (Pat) Koetteritz of Green Lane, PA; William (Congetta) Koetteritz of Hopkinton, MA; Eric (Mary Kay) Koetteritz of Pottstown, PA; and Frederick (Shona) Koetteritz, of Dillon, CO. They have twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.
