Charlton Heston married 64 Years

In 1944 Charlton Heston married another Northwestern drama student, Lydia Clarke, and after his army discharge in 1947, they moved to New York to seek acting jobs. Finding none, they hired on as principal actors at a summer theater in Asheville, N.C..Within a sort spanned of time they moved back to New York, and later to LOS ANGELES.

The Heston have a son Fraser,and a daughter, Holly Ann. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1994 at a party given in Hollywood with friends. The Heston's had been married happily for 64 years.

Besides being an outstanding actor Heston was the author of several books.

Heston, was an Oscar winner who portrayed Moses and other heroic figures on film in the '50s and '60s. Charlton was well known for his conservative values as head of the National Rifle Association.

Charlton Heston has died at the age of 84.
