Arthur J. and Agnes L. Sargent of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, April 12 with friends, and family.
They were united in marriage April 12, 1958 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Wheeling, by the Rev. Limus Nickerson.
The Sargent's plan to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary by renewing their wedding vows with a Mass in Wheeling at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in the near future.
Agnes Sargent is the daughter of the late Oscar and Dorothy Zoeckler. She is a 1956 graduate of St. Joseph Academy.
Arthur is the son of the late Herman and Regina Sargent. He is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School.
Arthur is a Navy veteran,and retired from Wheeling Stamping Co. He is a member of the Snake,and Cave Club.
The Sargent's are the parents of six children, and 10 grandchildren.
