Mr. and Mrs. John A. Detzel of Terre Haute were married on a beautiful spring day April 23, 1948.The Detzels were married in the First United Methodist Church in Brazil by the Rev. Wilson Singer.
The couple will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a private family dinner on April 23, 2008.
Mrs. Detzel, the former Charlotte Stoner. Charlotte is retired from Timberland Home Center in Brazil.
John is retired from the former Public Service Co. of Indiana.
The couple have one son, Jay Detzel and wife Janet of Terre Haute. They also have three grandchildren.
