Ivan R. and Christine (Earls) Heidenreich celebrated their 65th anniversary on St. Patrick's Day. The Heidenreich's were married in 1943 during the World War 11.
Ivan served in the Navy throughout World War II.
The couple lived in Indianapolis, and Greenwood prior to moving to Martinsville thirty years ago.
Ivan retired from the General Motors Chevrolet plant in Indianapolis. He also paints winning awards for for his paintings at county fairs.
Christine is a homemaker,and ran a successful ceramic arts business.
The love of art drew the couple to the serenity, and beauty of the Martinsville landscape.
They are the parents of three sons, David, Dennis, and Douglas. They have four grandchildren, Rachel, Erika, Jess and Justin, and two great grandchildren, Madeline and Nathaniel.
