Al And Tipper Gore will celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary on May 19th. The Gores were married May 19th 1970 in Washington's National Cathedral. The organist played "All You Need is Love" while the headmaster of the St. Alban's School preformed the ceremony.
From the time Al Gore meet Tipper he knew that this was the girl for him. Tipper said, "from the moment we saw each other at Al's graduation dance it was as if everyone melted away." Al called me the next day for a date we never dated anyone else.
Tipper was a junior at Boston University when Al ask her to take a walk one afternoon, while they were walking along the Charles River he proposed to Tipper.
Al and Tipper have four children, Karenna, Kristin, Sarah and Albert. They also have two grandchildren.
The Gores live on a small farm outside Carthage, Tennessee.
