The sun was streaming through the clouds awakening the spring flowers on May 2nd, 1948 when John and Dorothy Corder were united as husband and wife.
There have been a lot of changes in the world over the past 60 years, but the promise to love each other for life has never wavered for the Corder's.
The Corder Children and grandchildren hosted an open house for John and Dorothy in celebration of their 60th anniversary Sunday, May 4th at the Heritage Senior Center in McCook.
The Corder's son Jim from Alameda California came home for the celebration. John and Dorothy also have a daughter (Diana) Mrs. Charles Gull of McCook, two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
