Wilf and Betty Lee chose to marry in the spring when the mountains and ocean are wakening with new life on Vancouver Island. It was on May 15, 1948 when Wilf took Betty for his wife during a ceremony in Campbell River.
Wilf worked in the fishing industry, and as a mill-worker. Betty was a stay at home mom raising their four children.
A dinner given by the Lee children to celebrate their parents 60th anniversary will include friends and family.
After retirement the Lee's have enjoyed exploring the island with their children, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
